  • What is Cosmetic Medicine?
Cosmetic Medicine, also known as Aesthetic Medicine, is a subspeciality of Medicine that treats cosmetic concerns by altering the appearance and hence enhancing the way we feel in our skin. This is achieved with various modalities including Botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, Profhilo, microneedling, and fat-dissolving injections (Belkyra).
  • Why should I choose treatment from a Doctor affiliated with NZSCM?
The New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM) is the only accredited body in New Zealand providing gold standard training and support to Aesthetic Doctors, ensuring ethical safe practice and best care for clients.
  • What are your opening hours?
    Monday 10am - 8pm Tuesday 10am - 2pm Wednesday 10am - 2pm Thursday 10am - 2pm Friday 10am - 2pm Saturday 10am - 5pm Sunday CLOSED Bookings are by appointment only.
  • How long does Botox® last?
Botox, also known as Botulinum toxin, lasts on average 3-4 months. This is dependent on individual muscle activity, anatomy and injector technique. I use bespoke treatments tailored to each individual's anatomy to ensure every unit counts rather than cookie cutter treatments.
  • How long does Dermal Filler last?
Dermal filler lasts on average 6-18 months, sometimes longer depending on product used, placement and individual anatomy.
  • After the free initial consultation, is there any obligation to go ahead with treatment?
No. The initial consultation is designed to discuss your concerns, priorities and formulate a proposed treatment plan. Deciding whether to have cosmetic treatments is very personal and we are all on our own timelines so there is no pressure to commit to a treatment until if/when you are ready.
  • How safe are the products you use?
I only use products that are extensively tested and backed by scientific evidence. This ensures safety and ethical practice, both of paramount importance.
  • Can I return to work after a treatment?
You can return to work after treatment, however you may wish to plan the remainder of your day in advance depending on the nature of treatment. Botulinum toxin treatments are suitable for resuming your normal day afterwards, however it is recommended you avoid excessive exercise, saunas, facial massage and lying prone for 48 hours afterwards. More invasive treatments such as dermal fillers or microneedling will require planning, with avoidance of make up for at least the remainder of the day. Specific aftercare instructions are discussed at the time of treatment and you will be provided with an information sheet to take home with a contact number if you have any questions or concerns.
